John C. Crabb was the son of James Burton Crabb and Rachel Jones Crabb. He was born about 1826 and died unknown. He married Francis York in Paulding County, GA on June 01, 1850.

Captain John Calaway Crabb b. 28 Aug 1826 d. (of wounds) 15 Sep 1861 Murfreesboro, Tennessee – buried there but later brought home and buried in the cemetery behind the old Burton home where Frances was later buried beside him. At one time one of the York men owned the Burton home and we are not sure which one – possibly Josiah Cowan York, father of Frances, etal.
